[Functional Art] A good vision board is key. Yes, compared to last year’s goals, 2011’s goals are loftier. But I promise you, if I didn’t believe whole heartedly in right now (back then), yesterday would’ve been unbearable. Many of the 2010 goals happened or, at least, began to unfold. Some needed renewed focus. As for 2011, some goals are long(er) term but if you new me well, you’d recognize that I can truly foresee these elements in my life in the relatively “short” term.
A vision board is not a game, it is a daily reminder of those dreams that you dare to communicate. It is a proclamation that you (and other’s) can hold you accountable when you aren’t performing to the level necessary to attain such magnificence.
Your assignment: develop your vision board. Include a color that provides an emphasis that communicates something of overarching importance. Intermix personal, professional, and even the cryptic confidential. You may pick up on one or two of mine. Make it meaningful and if you so choose, photo reply to this blog or pass me the link to a 45-60 second video that you created to summarize your next steps to fulfilling your vision.
