The most comprehensive list for optimizing the appeal of your website. The underlying theme is sincerity. If you’re trying to make money with your site through tricks and clicks, it will eventually fizzle out. Content, content, content, and interaction is the model for e-commerce and service.

Linkedin love. The most important social platform for anyone over the age of 20? Linkedin. It is the most misunderstood and underestimated social network. But as solid connections continue to be forged and business deals continue to be affirmed, us grown ups will eventually value Linkedin’s more meaningful social interactions. For many, in business, life depends on it.
Social Growth. There is a growing momentum in the use of social video services Viddy and SocialCam. While the web apps are becoming fixtures on the iOS and Android platforms, (some) businesses are scurrying to figure out how to best use them to build community and rapport. Best suggestions: (1) product development and client feedback would be a novel use (2) customer service response by video.
LinkedIn continues to grow as the go-to platform for interconnectivity for the sake of productivity. So much so that it is leaving the much better funded Google + behind.
If you have a social strategy, how do you see it changing with the shift in go-to platforms?
SEO improvement can be as simple as this. These things can be done, rather easily, by anyone with front end web knowledge. For more complex SEO fixes, you’re going to need a detail-oriented UX designer with knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
So many of us have wanted #CrossFit to grow in pop cultural relevance. Trending topics have been a key factor in boosting that relevance. Yesterday, it took another great step. I happen to geek out on social media analytics so this meant quite a bit to me. At peak traffic (as measured by five different TweetDeck columns), 17 tweets/second were sent - all mentioning Chris Spealler, SPEAL, Spealler, and two common misspellings.
This may be the first year that July’s CrossFit Games week dominates Twitter - as world records and sensational performances are being broadcasted. Pretty cool to see the CrossFit Games social media crew already anticipating that rush by designating last names as the way to mention athletes. If enough people see #Froning, it will accomplish the same visibility goal that #CrossFit would.

Trickle up. Kanye West made news today by simply going on an unsolicited truth-spree. While his spurt of tweets could be deemed hilarious by some, obnoxious by most - it is a great example of how social media can instantaneously influence social networks and more traditional media when the message is sensational (or even aggravating) enough. Anatomy of a Twitter rant.
“Do you use Google to search as often as you did last year? The consumer stream of consciousness isn’t what it was. In fact, by this time next year, I suspect that we will begin hearing news that Google and Microsoft’s ad revenue was beginning to fall - dramatically. Like many of the Web 1.0 and 2.0 companies are realizing (Google especially), internet consumer behavior is changing swiftly. It isn’t a technological issue, it’s a sociological issue. Inbound marketing will be done by true word of mouth influence. If you want to purchase a new kitchen table or select a new television, you will survey your group of friends - much the same way consumers did prior to the internet boom. They will ask - what does Brian have? What does Susan love? What would George recommend? And as search functions improve on platforms like: Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Path, and Instagram - you will be able to see their preferences first hand. These companies will not allow their API to be used by Google to improve their search functionality. It is up to consumer brands to claim, interact with, and appropriately tag impressions (and interest in their brand) across all platforms.”
A preview of how platform and app-based sociology will change internet consumerism in the near future. Search Interest Marketing (SIM) - ws.
How time flies. All it took was one news search on the Twitter platform to realize that relevantnews was no longer fastest through CNN, ESPN, or even Mashable. 2009 wasn’t early adoption by any means but even in the last three years, I’ve watched the platform develop into a necessity for many personal and corporate brands.

There are several pieces of the puzzle when it comes to an online strategy for improving brand advocacy. Whether it’s a social cause, retail, or a media platform, this (basic) approach can be applied effectively. Granted, the personnel involved have to have a superior understanding of each element of the strategy (brand psychology, design, SEO, SEM, social media, and communications).
Influencing Health. What we eat is influenced heavily by a) what is available b) what is customary. Social’s effect falls into the “B” category and it is, in my opinion, one of the most persuasive forms of suggestion that we see over media platforms.
If people in your circle drink a lot of alcohol, it will numb your sensitivity to the infrequency in which it should be consumed. If people herald their “cheat days”, you will feel obligated to take one of your own. But if the people around you are super strict with their choices, eventually, you’ll be inspired to get back on the wagon. Who inspires your diet? Leave their Twitter handle below.

When was the last time you’ve picked up your phone to tell your friend how great your new ______ from Amazon, Best Buy, or Target was? You haven’t. And neither has anyone else.
