The Evolved CMO. This report by Forrester Research is an amazing perspective on the all encompassing nature of the modern Chief Marketing Officer. It is the nature of my existence to handle many of the touch points relating to: brand strategy, creative, ad development, market research, interactive media, website function, vendor management, and analytics.
Only in the past few years has an administrator developed into a position this versatile and impacting. Now the above skill sets are required! They are common place. The CMO is the bridge between the business of a business, the finance, the IT, the sales department, and the executive staff. It takes a special skill set.
